It's interesting to see, which instruments "stick"... there are so many cool, interesting, fun sounding, exquisite musical instruments, and new ones invented all the time. How does an instrument persist? Why did this not get built? - I think some may have to do with culture? - In percussion, all sorts of unusual instruments are used by musicians, because making cool sounds is what it's about. Any "classical" music is about, let's call it, preservation? - I can think of many other ingredients into making an instrument stick. Modern example of an instrument that stuck is of course the electric guitar and its variations.
Love the harpsichord too! Having seen this I want to get in the same room with this instrument. If you like and would be interested in hearing more harpsichord players, I recommend going to Twitch and entering "harpsichord" in the search bar. https://www.twitch.tv/
P.S> Don't let all the noise and flashing lights dissuade you. Just enter Harpsichord in the search bar and hit enter and it all will go away :-)
Oh not really, though I appreciate the compliment. Every time I discover something I realize how much I don't know. All of this grew out of me wanting to do a Music Road Trip channel on Twitch, which turned out to be waaaaay too time-consuming and costly.
My failure on Twitch is what prompted me to start "Pass Along Songs" - a way to still feature music and musicians I love without being locked into a live performance schedule and having to do interviews every week. So far it seems to be working out okay, don't you think?
P.S. If you have a musician or theme you'd like to see on Pass Along Songs let me know. HUGS!
This is amazing!

Ohhhh so interesting. Do you have some examples we could see and talk about?
HEAVENLY! My favorite post yet, Jena! I am a big harpsichord lover and this IS EVEN MORE Seraphonic! (My word for a"angelic.")

But I did learn A LOT! In fact, you might enjoy the article I wrote about the first (and last) musician I hosted on Twitch: https://www.braidedlives.com/post/the-music-road-trip-the-man-in-the-moon
