Wonderful article. I love what you have done. And, also, taught me things I did not know. You are a genius! And, somehow you've managed to relay that to us and it's not only fun, but uplifting and educational. How nice!

Wow, that’s kind of cool. It’s not a name I recall hearing often. Does your dad like his name? I enjoyed researching and writing this piece, especially learning about hippos :-) The tips just seem to make intuitive sense to me, don’t they to you?

Hippos are a big part of the collection of young children's books by Sandra Boynton. Her first, "Hippos Go Berserk," is a favorite of my 18-month old grandson. A more recent book about moods, "Happy Hippo, Angry Duck," is another favorite. I have never in my life spent so much time thinking about the secret life of hippos!

Parietal lobes do hearing and language, so use the words you hear and think of and the ability to use them yourself.
