“I told her about talking to animals and wanting to be anything but human; about my obsession with horses and falling in love with the library where I was free to find and check out as many stories about them as I could find. “ and there is the Jena emerging victorious for the liberation of all beings. Thank you Jena
Thank you for the reminder that having a fulfilling life is orthogonal to most other life situations, be they physical, mental, or emotional. I first learned that from a best friend who had a disabling illness and she was also a sunshine for every life she touched, including mine.
I love how you put the smell of winter into words: "crisp metallic scent that precedes snow" - We always just call it the "smell of snow in the air". Now I am curious...
Thank you, Aleks. When I learned of Anna's death I was reminded of how many with so called "disabilities" have touched and enriched my life. Their stories deserve to be told and their lives celebrated. Please let me know if you want to share the story of your friend as well. I'll do my best to create a design that fits.
“‘I can see that,’ I laughed, ‘but you know what the bard would say: Things without all remedy should be without regard: what's done, is done. Let’s get you home.’

Thank you for picking me out of the crowd ;-)
I am very much a champion of all beings (though fleas and roaches are hard for me to stomach). It’s very nice to be seen :-)
