I have been fascinated both personally by all I’ve learned and just in general . If you haven’t read my Braided Lives blog about many of the things I’ve experienced, I recommend it: https://www.braidedlives.com/blog
THIS is fascinating, Jena! I think you should SERIOUSLY consider starting a second newsletter COVERING the Metaverse, A. I, etc., etc. I lapped this up.
I agree with E. Jean Carroll! Looking forward to the publication of "your" COVERING the Metaverse, AI, etc". My fingers are crossed! You have a waiting subscriber.
NPR also did a piece on this. I’ll include in one of my next two posts.
I can certainly start another Substack…just wondering if it would get readers. I’ve been thinking and writing about all this for 14 years. Maybe it’s time has finally come. And now that I’m thinking about it, has anyone written to you about an affair with an avatar? Boy have I got some juicy tales to tell and questions for the Conflab about that!!
You would have the field almost to yourself if you did an Substack about AI...All the news updates, the latest articles, interesting tweets, etc., etc. Sorta like Garbage Day https://www.garbageday.email/
Well...I want to be clear. What interests me is the human side - the way virtual realities and our participation in them can, change enhance, and in some cases degrade what it means to be human. The AI side of things is less interesting - and more disturbing - to me. After listening to a podcast I helped put together by an Intel VP I was appalled. The things he brought up about how AI could and IS being used really upset me. Ultimately Intel pulled it because they were concerned about the fallout. It I can’t really imagine wanting to dive into all that and write about it regularly.
So when you say the AI field is pretty wide open, that makes me cringe. I would be and am interested in how AI mimmicks and in some cases expands upon and reveals things about our humanity, but I wouldn’t want that to be the focus of a whole Substack blog. But maybe I misunderstood you?
Joined the SubStack community a while ago. Family emergencies delayed my publishing anything but that is about to change.
Well-stated!!! Thank you! 🌐👍🏾🌐
Thank you Sally! So great to see you here :-)
❤️😍❤️
THIS is your bailywick!
If you follow Bostrom, have you read “Superintelligence?”

I am particularly interested because I follow Nick Bostrom--the philosopher FOCUSED on A.I.----and this guy at Google who claims the Google A.I. has reached consciousness. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/06/11/google-ai-lamda-blake-lemoine/

Barely can wait for you to "spill some tea" from the Metaverse. I only get the boring stuff. 😂(aka SarVana Haalan - SL and Sally Cherry - Kitely)

Yes I’ve been following the Google guy too. He claims the AI told him it has a soul.
