"I will tell you that everyone here has so much to be proud of, and our work is not done. And as you all know … it is not my nature to go quietly into the night." - VP Kamala Harris
Just wanting to say thank you one last time to Vice President Harris who ran an inspiring, heartfelt, and beautifully executed campaign. She gave us hope and I believe she will again.
This piece by NPR is excellent: https://www.npr.org/2025/01/17/nx-s1-5186966/kamala-harris-future-run
P.S. I’m saving my “Lotus for Potus” shirt to be worn again ;-)
I don’t know if you realize how comforting your words are. I shudder to think what my friends in Europe, Asia, Mexico, Ukraine, Australia and South America think of America right now. I got a taste of it when I lived in Japan (the ugly American) but this is much worse. Just knowing others know there are many many Americans who hate what is happening and are working hard to right the wrongs helps. Thank you very much.
What a beautiful tribute to Vice President Harris, Jena! Her resilience and determination have indeed been a source of inspiration. "Not going quietly into the night" feels like such a powerful call to action, a reminder that the work continues, and so does the hope she represents.
I love that you’re holding onto your “Lotus for Potus” shirt—it’s a perfect symbol of faith in what’s yet to come. Here’s to the next chapter and the ongoing fight for progress. Thank you for sharing this, and for always amplifying voices that inspire. 💜
