“Tufts University PhD student Rumeysa Ozturk was going out to a restaurant to meet friends when masked federal ICE agents dressed in street clothes seized her off a public sidewalk and disappeared her. Her apparent crime was co-authoring an op-ed critical of Trump and Netanyahu.” - Thom Hartmann
FOLKS! What's happening is UNCONSCIONABLE! Masked ICE agents are whisking dissidents off the streets like a scene from Nazi Germany. “This isn’t speculative fiction. It’s happening right now, in America.”
See this powerful post by Thom Hartmann, “She Stepped Onto a Sidewalk” from The Harman Report, then listen to the follow-up post with this incredible song, “The Sidewalk Where She Vanished.”
[Verse 1]
She stepped outside, just chasing light
A bag in hand, a heart upright
No warning, just the black-clad men
And silence swallowed her again
No sirens wailed, no rights were read
Just asphalt where she used to tread
And no one saw, or dared to speak
In shadows now, the strong hunt weak
[Chorus]
Where did she go, that girl with dreams?
Into the night, into the screams
They say her name, then choke it down
In every frightened, silenced town
We’re not so free, we’re not so brave
When fear becomes the flag we wave
[Verse 2]
He baked his bread, he paid his dues
He stood for love, not left or right views
But still they came, like ghosts in black
And sent him where he won’t come back
A brother cries in Dallas heat
No father’s arms, no shoes, no street
And letters fade, and hope burns slow
As tyrants strike the final blow
[Chorus]
Where did he go, that man of peace?
Deported dreams, erased with ease
They say it's law, but it’s control
A power play, a poisoned soul
We build the cage, we bar the gate
And call it order, call it fate
[Bridge]
Putin grins across the sea
As Trump writes law with cruelty
The names change, but the script’s the same
Disappear the ones who name
The truth, the lies, the rising tide—
You speak too loud, you’re cast aside
[Verse 3]
So hide your thoughts, delete your posts
They’re watching now, they’ve trained the ghosts
The courts are rigged, the press is thin
The darkness finds its way back in
But 3.5 can turn the tide
It’s not too late, we haven’t died
We still can march, still light the spark
Still set a fire inside the dark
[Final Chorus]
Where do we go, the ones who see?
We rise, we fight, we will not flee
We speak their names, we sound the bell
We break the silence, raise some hell
We are the storm, we are the cry
That says, “You can’t just let them die.”
[Outro]
On every street, in every place
Remember her forgotten face
And make the ground beneath you burn—
For all the ones who won’t retur
What would you think about hosting a live concert based on the song? Might we do it on YouTube, Twitch, and FB live as well as virtual worlds? Who would you suggest we contact - both musicians and those who could speak during the concert as well?
If you have contacts or suggestions, DM me. And PLEASE share widely. This kind of behavior can only exist in fear and darkness. If we shine a light on what is happening it will stop. Thank you.

What’s happening is abhorrent 😳 I have no words.
It is beyond the pale, shocking and disturbing. She is one of many who have been disappeared without due process. The video of Kristy Noem standing in front of the men in prison in El Salvador shows the depth of the depravity of the people in charge here. These are crimes against humanity.
