Many of you will remember Buttons and Bows. Billed as a boutique for discerning women, it was opened in August of last year by The Proprietress - a woman who dreamed of creating smart and sassy art centered around women’s empowerment.

As part of this dream, the Proprietress asked women to share their stories, which she used as the basis for some of her designs. Highlights include:

Following the 2024 election, Buttons and Bows took a brief hiatus. A lot of time, energy, and love were invested in that campaign and the results took the wind out of many sails. The Proprietress needed time to rethink her approach to business and art, and to indulge in some creative play.

The result is a re-imagined shop that offers four items - t-shirts, coffee mugs, writer’s journals, and wall art. Most of the new designs center around animals simply because they were fun to create, but plans to celebrate new stories being submitted are in the works as well.

Buttons and Bows also has its own Substack now. This will make it easier to find and share what we’re doing. Here is the LINK to sign up:
