“We are the music makers. We are the Dreamers of Dreams.” - Arthur O’Shaughnessy via Margot Potter
I didn’t want this day to pass without recalling us to all that is good about America - to the kindness, compassion, and spark of creative joy that lives in each of us.
Our work as creators - as people who live to breathe life into new ideas, who dream and paint and sing and cobble words together to inspire and make others think - is needed more than ever. We are the ones who look outside the polarizing boxes, who can hear the steady pulse of empathy beating below the rhetoric and remind one another that by coming together with respect and appreciation we can, as Margot put it, “co-create the world we envision.”
As you enjoy this amazing cover of the Righteous Brothers’ famous song, “Unchained Melody” sung here by Life in 3D, please take a moment to envision the world that you’d like to co-create - a world in which each life has value and is treated with respect and dignity.
With love and gratitude for each of you who read, write and create,
Jena

Beautiful, Jena! I can’t take credit for the quote, it’s from Arthur O’Shaughnessy and Willy Wonka! 🙂
